Before taking on the role of Community Engagement Coordinator in August 2024, Liz Brown worked at HMM as an educator and as part of our interpretive team guiding tours. She has prior experience working with kids as an environmental educator, and she was an interpreter at Canyonlands National Park. Liz enjoys her work at Hanford Mills in large part because of the camaraderie among staff. Liz’s favorite equipment at Hanford Mills is our waterwheel, because she loves seeing the reaction of visitors of all ages when it comes to life. Liz is a dedicated runner and can also be found playing bagpipes in the Leatherstocking District Pipe Band based in Oneonta. A current favorite TV show is The Great British Baking Show because it reminds her of time she spent in England
